BOITE NOIRE is a pure Class A direct box, designed to bring studio sound to the stage. It's full-black dress hides a big Carnhill VT24499 transformer for a true-to-the-source thick sound. Want more colour? Use the MIC output level to plug into your preferred mic preamp. Play vintage gear? Get a perfect impedance match between instruments and amplifiers with the integrated buffer.

 INSPIRATION

We've taken our inspiration from the sound of vintage hifi equipment from the 80s, at the height of the use of audio transformers, which gave a good, big, loud sound.

The successor to our already acclaimed DI01 is based on the same analog circuitry, but features a new power module for improved sound, and a new sturdy enclosure for years of worry-free touring.
